Galaxy Cupcakes

Doing my regular groceries, I saw a package of black marzipan in discount. I'm not usually one for decorating cupcakes or cakes because I am both sloppy and lazy, but as a fervent lover of marzipan and dark colours, I decided to buy it to give it a go. Coincidentally, a week later I ran into the Artisan Crafts challenge of CRArtisanCrafts themed 'space'. I couldn't resist the temptation of creating my own galaxy with my marzipan

I used a very basic cupcake recipe and added a bit of vanilla and lavender (I have been on a baking-with-lavender spree lately). The top is just black marzipan and powdered sugar. Nothing special much, but I always prefer nice and simple.
