I came into the library for tea. I was promised food at this ball. In case you hadn't noticed, no food appears to be in residence.

I believe she used plain white kneesocks, but I can't be 100% sure ^^ Still, white tights would work just as well, although they would be less historically correct.

Wonderful costume without too many details. Really suitable for England, just a century too early for Alexia. XD Unless you're lord Akeldama. Haha. I would love to know where the shoes came from though.

Well, I chose the quote for the words not the time it was said XD But if you like you can imagine this as a painting in the librabry she was trying to have her treacle tart in ;) Something about tea, librabry and not being content about the food just really seemed to fit England in my eyes XD

But the lack in details is probably because this isn't the complete finished work yet. It is supposed to become the full pirate outfit (but fancier, of course ;))
And I could walk towards the shop where she bought those shoes without hesitation, but I wouldn't know the name of it XD It was a few seasons ago, so I'm afraid it's not being sold anymore... I can ask her if she remembers herself, if you like?

Ah, true. In a way, you they're a bit similar. ^^

Oooh. Pirate costume. Then that's a very promising base. :)
Is it a modern type of shop? Because the design, and the heel especially, had a very historical look about it. I always keep an eye out for that, in case I need it for my work.

Yes, it was just an ordinary shop for shoes. Not the cheapest shop, but also not the most expensive. The type of design seems to be the fashion at the moment, but I have to admit I haven't seen many shoes with that type of heel.

Yes, and it's mostly the heel that does it. Shoes can take the same shape as old-fashioned footwear, but it's the heel that does that last bit when it comes to making it look authentic or not. The length and the shape always does it.
